The mysterious Benedict Society (part 5)

    I an on page 339 out of 471 pages in the book The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart. The children find out many things in this part of the book.

    When Sticky comes back from the waiting room he is covered with mud and you could tell that he had been crying a lot. Sticky was there more then one day! Sticky said that it was a horrible place with mud everywhere and things crawling around. Sticky wanted to leave and go back home, but Reynie wouldn't let him. Sticky decided to stay.

    Sticky and Reynie are now messengers. Mr. Curtain wanted to see them. They were led to Mr. Curtain. Reynie and Sticky had to wear a blindfold so that they couldn't figure out where they were going. When they got to Mr. Curtain he showed them this chair. They found out that Mr. Curtain made the chair and that it was  sending the messages. Mr. Curtain told them that they will sit in it, and they did. It was very peaceful. The chair made you want to come back and sit in it again. They were sitting in it for a couple hours. When the children get back they decide to find out where the chair was.

    The children go outside and try to find out where they were taken to Mr. Curtain. Reynie and Sticky have to think about what they were stepping on and what they heard when they were led to the place. It is by the rocks behind the school. The children try to find the entrance when Reynie gets mad because they can't find it. He kicks the rocks and a secret door flies open! They found a secret cave!What is inside? What will happen to them?

    I predict that Mr. Curtain will be standing in the room when the children walk to the cave. I think this because sometimes in mysteries people just pop up out of nowhere! I think that this might happen in this book.

   Why would Mr Curtain try to keep the chair and everything so secret? I think that he might keep them very secret because there might be something else besides the chair that he is trying to hide. If so, what is he trying to hide?

    The children always meat at night. Constance and Kate made their own secret entrance. They come in through the ceiling tiles. I always wanted to have a secret intrance in to my sister's room. Her room is right by the stairs. If we had a door into the stairs and a door into her room then we would have our own secret entrance. It would be kind of like Constance and Kate going into Reynie's and Sticky's room.
